Tricks to helping kids memorize scripture…

  • Post it on your fridge or bulletin board.
  • Memorize it with your kids…make it a game to see who can memorize the fastest.
  • Take it a day and word (or two) at a time.
  • Turn it into a song or clap your hands to create rhythm to it.
  • Talk about what it means – as words/verses are described they hold greater weight.
  • Get your kids to write them down or draw a picture (about them).
  • Don’t stress!…even remembering part of it is amazing!
